The Services of a Qualified and Experienced Contractor to Provide All Labor, Material, Equipment, Supervision and Administration to Integrate the Work Outlined in the Attached Scope of Work for the Roof Replacement Project. The Bids Submitted and the Contract, if Awarded, Shall Be in Complete Accordance With This Invitation to Bid and the Project Plans and Specifications, as Prepared by Gale Associates, Inc., Without Limitation, and All Codes, Requirements, and Regulations Referenced Therein. All Questions regarding this invitation to bid shall be in writing and submitted electronically. Responses will be released on the Question and Answer Tab electronically. Project Location: 228 S. Massachusetts Ave. Lakeland, FL 33801. Summary of Work: In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Low Sloped (Flat) Roofs: a. Remove and dispose of existing low-sloped gravel surfaced asphalt built-up roofing down to the existing roof deck substrate (roof substrate and decking varies). b. Provide new 2-ply SBS modified bitumen roof membrane system and 2-ply SBS modified flashing systems, and associated roof system components as indicated. c. Replace perimeter wood blocking as indicated. d. Replace perimeter sheet metal flashings and coping to facilitate roof work. e. Replace primary and secondary (overflow) roof drains. f. Install new secondary (overflow) scupper drains as indicated, with overflow outlet daylighting through the soffit at the overhang where shown. g. Remove and reinstall existing rooftop equipment on top of new insulated roof curbs as indicated. Extend electrical and ductwork to facilitate work. h. Provide new rooftop equipment supports as indicated. i. Replace rooftop expansion joint flashings as indicated. 2. Sloped Roofs: a. Remove and dispose of existing clay tile roofing and underlayment membrane down to the existing plywood roof deck. b. Install new self-adhered membrane underlayment and flashings. c. Install new "Spanish S" style clay roof tiles throughout the sloped roofs. d. Replace perimeter sheet metal flashings and coping to facilitate roof work. e. Replace sheet metal gutters and downspouts as indicated. f. Roof Area 2A: On this existing sloped copper roof, clean and apply a new reinforced fluid-applied restoration roof coating system as indicated. DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS: April 19, 2023
