Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Charleston, South Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and fitness / recreation center.
This project is a capital renovation project to the Shaw Community Center located on Mary Street and provides recreation and community activities for the Eastside neighborhood. The renovation includes exterior grading, waterproofing and drainage improvements around the perimeter of the gym. Interior renovations include painting, ceiling replacement, restroom renovation, concrete floor stripping and new gymnasium flooring. Project is included City of Charleston Fiscal Year 2024-2028. As of June 6, 2024, project is currently funded for FY2024-2025 with completion in 2025. Project is currently in design however a design team has not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
