The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals or in the proposal process should it deem this necessary for the public good. The City also reserves the right to reject the proposal of any Proposer that has been delinquent or unfaithful in any former contract with the City. No proposer may withdraw its proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the date from the opening thereof. If the City cancels or revises this RFP all firms invited to participate in the process shall be notified in writing. At the time of “Award of Contract”, the Contractor must have a valid California State Contractor’s License with a classification of “C-27” in accordance with Provisions of Chapter 9, Division 111, Sections 7000 through 7145 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California. Contractor shall pay wages in accordance with State of California Department of Industrial Relations General Prevailing Wage Determination for Sweeping/Cleaning of Streets, Alleys and Parking Lots. PRE-PROPOSAL MEETING Not applicable. The contract shall commence June 1, 2023, and the term shall be for 24 months with three one-year options to extend for a maximum of five years. Proposals shall include a list of equipment that will be used for sweeping/cleaning of streets, alleys and parking lots in the City of Lawndale. Said list shall show type of sweeper (whether vacuum or broom), make, model and year of original purchase. Each proposer is required to survey the Lawndale street system and become familiar with the Scope of Services and requirements of the services to be performed. The City will assume that each proposer has investigated and is satisfied as to the conditions to be encountered, the character, quality and quantities of work to be performed, and the materials and equipment to be furnished.
