The County of Huron is seeking to engage the services of a qualified contractor for the development of a new Salt/Sand Storage Facility at the Wingham Patrol Yard. The details of which are described within the tender. Demolition of the existing salt/sand storage domes, the construction of a new Salt/sand storage facility and associated site works for the County of Huron. The new storage facility will include areas for the storage of three different bulk road salt products along with an area for brine storage complete with secondary containment. An extension of the roof framing off the back of the building provides a covered storage area for the County. Site works include the construction of a new stormwater management facility for the site complete with the required underground storm sewer system to service the site. An extension to the existing hydro service on site from the existing public works building is required to power the storage facility. The yard will be graded as per the drawings with new asphalt surfaces placed around the building tying into the existing grades and asphalt on site.
