Notice is hereby given that Bad Axe Public Schools is receiving bids from trade contractors for the following project: DESIGN-BUILD MECHANICAL PROJECT - High School Building Air Conditioning Complete proposals will be received for the following work categories in accordance with drawings and specifications as prepared by the Architect, Engineers and/or Construction Manager. BID CATEGORY 1: ALL TRADES WORK FOR HVAC PROJECTS INCLUDING DESIGN All questions regarding the plans and specifications are to be emailed to R.C. Hendrick & Son, Inc. at chip@rchendrick.com. **R.C. Bid Category #1: All Trades Work for HVAC Project Does not include integration or upgrades to the existing Trane Building Management System. Bid Category #2: Temperature Control for HVAC Project This scope includes temperature control integration into the Trane Building Control System of new fan coils, VRF, and AHUs. Include power wiring and any associated labor to tie into the existing system. Provide an alternate bid to also upgrade the control on existing AHUs and tie into the Trane Building Control System.The work scope for this Bid Category includes, but is not limited to the work as specified in the R.C. Hendrick Project Manual, the Architect's Technical Specification, the Drawings and any Addenda issued prior to the bid date. Provide all labor, materials and equipment to satisfy the following Specification Sections and Notes unless otherwise noted. Bid Category Notes (Including, but not limited to): A. HVAC EQUIPMENT and Installation, including all required Electrical Work and Architectural Work Supply and install equipment compatible to existing HVAC equipment. 25-year life expectancy or better. o Replacing classroom heating units and B wings adding air conditioning to classrooms A and B wings. o Cabinet Heater FC-1, FC-2, FC-3, FC-4, FC-5. o System to replace UCCA-13, Climate Change Room B-101, 7-1/2 ton Condensing Unit Room B-101. o Indoor VRF Units, Outdoor VRF Units o Include Unit Mounted Controls, all materials, labor, supplies, freight, taxes, permits required to install listed equipment. o Include power wiring, integration to Building Control System, or concrete outdoor unit pads. o Furnish and install an air conditioning system to serve the called-out areas. o Furnish and install condensing unit and evaporator coil paired to existing air handler. This system to be designed to provide maximum comfort to the occupants. o Furnish and install electrical wiring to new condensing unit o Modify existing controls for new air conditioning application, including new thermostats, etc. o Insulate new piping o Roof cutting and patching o Structural steel support as required o Crane hoisting and rigging o Engineering mechanical, electrical, and structural stamped drawings as required for plan review and install
