In awarding the contract, the District shall consider the firms compliance with SAB statutes and regulations related to DVBE participation. State law and regulations adopted by the State Allocation Board (SAB) require that State-funded contracts have participation goals of 3% for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises as defined in Public Contract Code Section 10115.1. 1. Replacement of existing mechanical systems at Buildings 010, 020, 030, 600, 600A and 900. Fan coil units, heat pump condensing units and package heat pump units are all to be provided by the owner. Contractor to provide installation of said equipment only along with all other associated work required as part of these drawings. Contractor to conduct cleaning of existing ductwork system in the buildings mentioned above. 2. The intent of these drawings and specifications is that the alteration, rehabilitation or reconstruction is to be in accordance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations. Should any existing conditions such as deterioration or non-complying construction be discovered which is not covered by the contract documents wherein the finished work will not comply with Title 24, California Code of Regulations, a Construction Change Document, or a separate set of plans and specifications, detailing and specifying the required repair work shall be submitted to and approved by Division of the State Architect before proceeding with the repair work.
