The bids must cover all costs for the completion of this project as set forth in the Contract Documents. The principle items of work to be performed under the contract are: (1) sign installation and repair; (2) bridge cleaning and debris removal; (3) deck sealing and joint repair; (4) concrete and steel superstructure repair; (5) concrete and stone masonry substructure repair; (6) asphalt deck wearing surface and approach roadway replacement; and (7) guide rail repair. This project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as specified in Section 102.01 and Section 102.06 (c) of Publication 408 for Work Class Code S1 or S2. Contractors qualifying as subcontractors may submit bids as a prime contractor, consistent with their qualifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the County of Adams in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will be accepted and the bond must state Pennsylvania licensure. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The County of Adams reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids.
