Renovation of a water / sewer project in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: Installation of Owner-furnished equipment for existing Primary Settling Tank (PST) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 for a total of six tanks. Project also includes demolition of existing equipment as needed to accommodate new equipment. Project also includes necessary electrical and controls for proper functioning of the new equipment. The pre-bid conference will be followed by an on-site inspection. All attendees of the on-site inspection shall wear appropriate PPE (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection). Bidders must report to the address above for registration a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the time set for the pre-bid conference and on-site inspection. Directions to the appropriate meeting room will be given at that time. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Any prospective bidder requiring "reasonable accommodation" under the Americans with Disabilities Act, must contact the designated Point of Contact by telephone no later than 2:00 PM local time on Tuesday April 4, 2023 All questions regarding the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to the designated Point of Contact. For a question to be considered, the subject line of the email must state the following: "ITB No. 22-024 Questions" Questions should be succinct and must include the submitter's name, title, company name, company address, and telephone number. Prior to the award of a contract resulting from this solicitation, potential respondents are prohibited from contacting AlexRenew staff other than the Purchasing Agent. All questions must be received by 2:00 PM local time on Thursday April 13, 2023. Any questions received after this date may not be answered. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security, when required as specified on the Bid Form and the project is valued at more than $500,000, made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. The Successful Bidder will be required to provide a performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract value. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, quality or quantity of the Work.
