The sidewalks, platforms and certain architectural components are damaged. Upgrades and repairs are therefore required. In the coming years, traffic in the area will be revised with the repair project for the Youville parking lot and the installation of the tramway. Consequently, work at the terminus must be limited to extending its safe use for a few years. The project therefore consists of repairing the architectural components of the buildings and platforms in order to improve customer safety and promote universal accessibility. The work must be planned with the objective of maintaining bus traffic in the terminus and vehicles in the Carré d'Youville. The repair of the sidewalks will be taken care of by the City of Quebec and will be planned following the work on the buildings. Réseau de transport de la Capitale is inviting tenders for the repair of the buildings at the Youville terminus. The main works planned are: Repair of low walls, floors, mullions and glazing of bus shelters; Repair of the base of the canopies columns, sanding, priming and painting; Repair of cornice corners of awnings and reinforcement of their fixings; Replacement of damaged granite panels, reinforcement of their attachments to the walls and addition of sealant; Replacement of sealant around the perimeter of the roof membrane and skylights; Painting of bus shelter benches; Addition of a buttocks support; Repair of the doors and painting of the walls inside the rest room and the driver's toilet; Painting of the metal panels under the turret clocks; Replacement of light fixtures under canopies; Addition of light fixtures in bus shelters; Removal of the roof display panel; Refurbishment of the protective grille of the air conditioner.
