Question Submission Deadline:April 12, 2023, 3:00pm Summary The City of Hollywood, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified and experienced firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor or Bidder, to provide Reconfiguring and Resurfacing Services for the Basketball Courts and Pickleball Courts for the City, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation. Project Description Work under this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to deliver, sport court reconfiguration and resurfacing at Jefferson Park located at 1501 Jefferson Street in a competent and professional manner and in compliance with all applicable safety and technical related codes and laws. The Contractor agrees to cooperate and work with the City of Hollywood Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts in scheduling work requested. Technical Specifications Reconfigure an area measuring 160' x 134' consisting of two full size asphalt basketball courts into five permanent pickleball courts on the North side of the enclosed area and two half basketball courts and one full mini court on the South side of the enclosed area. Court orientation are north/south. Install four gooseneck basketball infrastructure and footers. Two basketball systems will be 10' in height and 2 basketball systems will be 6' in height. Half court dimensions for 10' basketball systems are 50' X 47'. Basketball systems should include aluminum 3.5" gooseneck post. Include three-point line along with basketball key and boundary lines (high school dimensions). Full court dimension for 6' basketball system is 21' X 42' with half court line at 21'. Include abbreviated three-point line abutting top of both keys. Courts will have two color options. Install 5 pickleball courts with netting systems (net post with footers and nets) and lines. Court dimensions are 44' in length and 20' in width. Net height is 36" at the sideline and 34" at the center. Include all court lines. Courts will have two color options. Install 150' linear feet of 8' black fence. Utilizing 3" O.D. DQ40 poly coated terminal poles, 2-1/2" O.D. DQ40 line poles, 1-5/8" O.D. CQ20 top rail, 9 gauge x 2" vinyl coated chain link mesh with a 6 gauge bottom tension wire. The fence line will divide the pickleball and basketball courts. Approximately 80 percent of Port Everglades, the world's second-busiest cruise port, is located in Hollywood and the port is home to Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas and Oasis of the Seas, the largest cruise liners in the world. Hollywood also provides easy access to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Miami International Airport, a major gateway to Latin America. Hollywood also is home to the Memorial Healthcare System, the nation's fifth-largest healthcare network, its flagship hospital, Memorial Regional, and the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, the largest free-standing children's healthcare facility in Broward County. Submittals shall be considered an offer on the part of the bidder/proposer, which offer shall be deemed accepted upon approval of the City, and in case of default, the City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and request new bids/proposals. The City also reserves the right to award any resulting agreement as it deems will best serve the interests of the city. Contractor Qualifications o Have 5+ years of experience in resurfacing sport courts; o Maintain appropriate licensure and insurance to complete work scope; and o Provide 3+ references for similar projects or types of work as listed in this solicitation using the attached vendor reference form.
