All potential contractors are required to submit information indicating they have practical experience of the particular construction work, and that they have the ability and resources to complete the proposed work in a manner satisfactory to the Owner. A contract award will only be made to a potential contractor meeting the minimum contractor qualifications as stated within the contract specifications. The successful selected contractor must be a "responsible contractor." The term "responsible contractor" means a contractor as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. Any prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that does not meet the minimum criteria or fails to comply with the verification requirements is not a responsible contractor and is not eligible to be awarded a construction contract for the project or to perform work on the project. A prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that makes a false statement under oath verifying compliance with the minimum criteria will be ineligible to be awarded a construction contract on the project, and the submission of a false statement may result in termination of a contract awarded to a prime contractor, subcontractor, or motor carrier that submits the false statement. All project quotes must be submitted on or before 10:00 am on April 7, 2023. Any project quotes received late will not be considered. The City of Golden Valley reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Golden Valley.
