The purpose of this procurement is for the City of Lawrence to establish a Door/Lock Installation & Repair Contract with a Contractor who is capable of performing Door & Lock installation and repair services at any time when the City does not have the available resources to do so.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and all equipment to repair or install doors or locks at various city and school buildings on an as needed basis. The Contractor will survey all buildings at the request of either the City’s Building and Facilities Manager or the Lawrence Public Schools’ Director of Facilities & Plant Management and report conditions in writing to the same. Bidders must submit a five percent (5%) bid deposit with their bid The bidder awarded the contract is required to submit within (5) five days, a Payment Bond in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contact value; drawn on a responsible bank or trust company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and made payable to the City of Lawrence. City of Lawrence reserves the right to procure separate contractors for such work if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City to do so.
