The City of Frederick (City) proposes the use of the Design and Construction
Services Team (DCST) delivery method for the design and construction of the
work specified in this Water Loss Reduction Upgrades Request for Proposal (RFP).
The selected DCST will provide project management, design, including surveying
and drafting, permitting, architecture, engineering, construction documents,
easement documents, construction, and construction administration.
2.2 SCOPE OF WORK
The City will contract with the selected firm for all services including, but not
limited to, labor, materials, and equipment required, designing, and
constructing the placement of water main, associated services, hydrants, street
interconnections, and valves for the following:
- Install approximately 4,500 feet of 16" water main on N. East Street from E. 8th
Street to N. Market Street at the point of the existing 16" water line at N. Market
Street.
- At the intersection of E. 9th Street and N. East Street, there will be two tie-ins, a
6" main and a 12" main.
- At the intersection of Delaware Road and N. East Street, there will be an 8"
main line tie-in.
- At the intersection of E. 13th Street and N. East Street, there will be a 6" main line
tie-in.
- At the intersection of Peters Lane and N. East Street, there will be a 6" main line
tie-in.
- At the intersection of E. 14th Street and N. East Street, there will be two tie-ins, a
6" main line and an 8" main line.
- At the intersection of E. 15th Street and N. East Street, there will be a 6" main line
tie-in.
- At the intersection of E. 16th Street and N. East Street, there will be a 12" main
line tie-in.
- At the intersection of N. East Street and N. Market Street, there will be a 16"
main line tie-in.
