Site work and addition to an educational facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project consists of relocating one (1) 24 x 40 Portable Classroom from Prospect High School to Del Mar CACE Adult School. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors license(s): A and/or B - General Building Contractor The Bidders license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. All bids shall be on the form provided by the District. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, cash, or a cashiers check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the Campbell Union High School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the Contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening Last day to submit RFI: 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2023. Email: Bridget Biggins bbiggins@cuhsd.org Contractor is responsible to disassemble and relocate a 24x40 classroom portable and reassemble to restore to the same condition from Prospect High School, 18900 Prospect Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070 to Del Mar CACE Adult School, 1224 Del Mar Avenue, San Jose, CA 95128. This includes but is not limited to, all site work preparation per DSA drawings, as well as labor, material, equipment, tools, coordination, survey, locating, fabrication, assembly, start-up, engineering, and supervision to re-assemble and connect to fully operational all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, data, and fire devices. Contractor to take possession of Classroom Portable at Prospect High School on June 6, 2023 to begin all necessary disconnections of mechanical, electrical, data, fire and portable disassembly. SUBMITTALS: The contractor is responsible for the reproduction and distribution of its coordinated submittals and shop drawings for review by the Monitoring Consultant, Owner's Architect/Engineer, and Owner's representative. The submittal register is due within one week of the PreConstruction meeting. SCHEDULE: The contractor will develop a coordinated schedule; coordinate and communicate abatement and demo milestones with the monitoring consultant; coordinate lead times, submittals, and construction milestones with the District representatives and its consultants. The CPM schedule and payment application schedule of values are due within a week of the Preconstruction meeting. PROGRESS REPORTS: The contractor is responsible for documentation of pre and post demolition documentation prior to the start of new work. Affix progress photo documentation with Daily Reports. Produce and distribute weekly 2-week-look-ahead schedule updates to all project stakeholders.
