Value Range 1,000,001 ~ 10,000,000$ This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by Queen's University ("Queen's") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Victoria Hall Electrical Wiring Upgrade - Phase 2, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Most of the feeders, panel boards, splitters, wiring and branch circuit devices are original to the Victoria Hall building and are now beyond their useful life. In the summer of 2022, all electrical wiring in wings A and B of Victoria Hall at Queen's were upgraded. This was considered Phase 1 of the project. The Deliverables for Phase 2 of the project, as specified in the attached design packages, consists of replacing feeders, electrical floor panel boards, splitters, branch circuit devices such as receptacles and light switches, and branch wiring on each floor of the C, D and E wings of Victoria Hall, which may include loads in more than one wing. It also includes installing new conduits in overhead space as new routes for some of the existing feeders as well as the replacement of receptacles in bathrooms and mechanical rooms to those with GFCI protection. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining the electrical permit and any other permits required for this job. Due to operational constraints, the wiring upgrade will take place during the 2023 summer (May to August) shutdown of the university.
