Project Category Code: Bridge (Replacement or Rehabilitation) Description: The project consists of the construction of a new bridge located approximately 3.4 miles Southeast of the intersection of Highway 228 and Upper Highwood Creek Road in Chouteau County, Montana. The new bridge will replace the existing single-span steel and concrete bridge on Upper Highwood Creek Road over Highwood Creek. The proposed 75-foot single span bridge will be constructed of precast prestressed concrete bulb tee beams on a driven pile foundation. Improvements consist of but are not limited to: structure excavation, supply and installation of random riprap, supply and drive steel piles, construction of cast-in-place concrete pile caps, wingwalls & end diaphragms, supply and installation of the bridge superstructure, bridge rail, approach guardrail, and other miscellaneous items. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing and must be received by no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on April 12, 2023.
