Part 1 - General 1.1 General A. The service contract shall cover equipment and software related to this contract and shall provide for the following parts and services: 1. Bi-yearly inspections, preventative maintenance, and testing of equipment and components in Year One of the warranty period. 2. Annual inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing of equipment and components in Years Two and above of the warranty period. 3. Regular Service, Emergency Service, and Call-Back-Service 4. Labor and Repairs 5. Equipment, and Materials, and transportation costs. B. Acknowledgment time for service calls. 1. Emergency service calls shall be acknowledged within 2 hours. 2. Normal service calls shall be acknowledged within one business day. 3. Acknowledged means the request is responded to with, at a minimum, an automated response, and a response is sent to coordinate a time when a service technician can be available. C. Warranty Commencement 1. For newly installed or replaced products, the Vendor shall supply a 1-year workmanship and product warranty. The manufacturer-supplied product warrantymay extend longer. 2. The warranty begins at the time of issuance of the statement of "Final Acceptance of the Installation or Replacement" by the Owner. D. Transmittal 1. A copy of this warranty shall be delivered to and signed for by the Owner's representative, whose primary responsibility is the operation and care of these systems. A copy of the signed Warranty document shall be delivered for review aspart of the Final Submittals.
