The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to: a comprehensive list of areas, which may be identified as requiring the expertise and assistance of one or more consultants on a variety of matters. Support for all area of Railroad Operations: general design, construction and maintenance. Engineering services for the following disciplines: railroad facilities, track, signals, communications, commuter rail rolling stock, transportation planning and environmental and safety issues. DBE Goal: 20% The conceptual level construction cost estimate for proposed improvements is attached in the independent cost estimate. Independent design and construction estimates will be created with each assigned task order for contracts with ceiling caps of $10,000,000.00. The scope of services will be authorized on an as needed basis (task basis by phase when applicable). The duration of this contract will be three (3) years with an option for 2 additional years. Following an initial evaluation of qualifications and performance data, firms considered to be the most highly qualified to provide the required services will be requested to submit proposals and may be invited to participate in oral interviews. Please note in order to be considered for an RFP, the proposer must pass the AA/EP/DBE Evaluation. This is not a Request for Proposal. The MBTA reserves the right to cancel this procurement or to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
