Contract(s) Being Bid Separate bids, which will comply with the Bidding Documents, will be received for the following Scopes of Work: Contract No. 22-001A: Dover Elementary School Roof Asbestos Abatement The Board of Education of the Dover Union Free School District invites the submission of separate sealed bid proposals for the Dover Elementary School Roof Asbestos Abatement Project. Work shall consist of: Contract No. 22-001A: Abatement/removal of the asbestos containing roof materials as indicated within the project drawings. Time is of the Essence: Contract work shall commence promptly at the completion of the 2022-20223 school year (June 23rd, 2023) and be completed by August 7th, 2023. Bidding Documents Bidding documents for the proposed work were prepared by the engineering firm, Rennia Engineering Design, PLLC, Dover Plains, NY 12522. Bidders will be furnished a full and complete copy of the plans and specifications by the Assistant Superintendent for Business Affairs at the Dover Middle / High School, 2368 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY 12522, upon proper presentation of: 1. The name and mailing address, telephone and fax numbers of the interested party making such request; and 2. Pre-paid Fed Ex, UPS, or alternate Shipping/Mailing account information for the costs of receiving initial Bid Documents and any subsequent addenda. Manner of Bids Submitted: Bids shall be made on standard proposal forms furnished in the bid documents in the manner designated there, and required by the specifications, shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes, clearly marked on the outside with the following information: 1. Bid Proposal for Dover Elementary School Roof Abatement Project, Contract No. 21-001A. 2. The Name of the Owner; 3. The name and address of the bidder; The Contract Number(s) and Branch(es) of Work, as identified above for which the Bid is submitted, must be accompanied by the following in duplicate: (one original/one copy). 1. Bid Form. 2. A Non-Collusion Affidavit. Applicable Law Governing Public School Construction The requirements of New York State Labor Law, Article 8 (Section 220-223) and Article 9 (Section 230-239). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening except with the express written approval of the Owner. Owner's Disclaimer/Owner's Discretion to Accept or Reject Bids: The Owner assumes no responsibility, whatsoever, in connection with any defects arising out of the Bidding Documents or the receipt or failure to receive Bids, including those which may arise form delay for any reason, in obtaining or submitting the Bidding Documents, including but not limited to, traffic delay, messengering, mis-labeling, mis-directions from any source, mis-delivery, or otherwise. Any Bid, which does not fulfill the material requirements of the Bidding Documents will be rejected. When it is in its best interest to do so, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of Bids, or may waive any informalities in or reject any or all Bids.
