STATEMENT OF WORK 1. VA Cooperative Studies Program, Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico has a Cummins GTA855 Natural Gas Generator Set (no serial number available for the generator) requiring replacement due to high exhaust gas temperature for unknown reasons. This unit was sourced from a different Federal Agency and came with some issues that have not been solved. The VA is expecting a trade in cost associated with this purchase. 2. SCOPE: 2.1. The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary to provide a turnkey solution consisting of new diesel generator (technical requirements are detailed in this document) with a noise reducing enclosure. Vendor will disconnect existing unit from utilities, remove existing unit and enclosure from pad, remove existing unit from site, place new unit on pad, connect to utilities, and perform commissioning/load bank testing to include initial fueling and refueling after completing tasks. 3. SPECIFIC TASKS: 3.1. Provide turnkey backup generator solution consisting of a 250KW diesel powered backup generator with fuel tank sized to support 48-hours continuous run under load and a noise reducing enclosure. Unit must include an audible low fuel warning system. 3.2. Provide and install spill containment system 3.3. Remove existing unit (Cummins natural gas unit) from pad 3.4. Disconnect existing generator from natural gas line and electric cables 3.5. Cap off natural gas line 3.6. Current unit to be turned in for trade in credit 3.7. Install new unit 3.8. Place new generator and enclosure on pad 3.9. Connect to utilities 3.10.Perform commissioning tasks to include the current Automatic Transfer Switch (ASCO Series 3000) 3.11.Perform Load bank testing 3.12.Assist with City of ABQ Air Quality Notification application Questions: All questions must be in writing & emailed to Arcelia.Medina@va.gov. The Government reserves the right to not answer questions not meeting this timeline if doing so would result in an amendment requiring an extension of the solicitation and to extend would not be in the best interest of the Government.
