Site work for a municipal facility in Upper Arlington, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The City of Upper Arlington is seeking a contractor to provide all mulch and labor, supervision, equipment, for mulch installation to specified locations. The City of Upper Arlington encourages all businesses, including minority and women-owned businesses to respond. Question Cuttoff Date & Time 3/31/2023 08:00:00 AM (ET) Provide and install 2" of mulch to specified locations in the City of Upper Arlington. All locations to be mulched with triple shredded black hardwood, with the exception of Road Water Park where Pinebark mulch is specified. Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and mulch 2. Location: Work limited to specified public garden beds in the City of Upper Arlington. A list of the locations and maps are attached to this document. 3. All beds at abutting turf must be edged with a straight edge prior to mulching. Sod/soil shall be disposed of off-site. 4. Remove all litter and debris prior to mulching 5. Material to be free of soil, leaves, contaminants and non-woody debris and consistent in size. No solids greater than 4 sq. inches in area on any side and suitable for landscape use. 6. Bagged, bulk, or blown mulch is acceptable. Product to closely match Ohio Mulch Absolute Black 1940 bulk and Pinebark mulch 320. Dime-Quarter sized pieces not pine nuggets. No mulch is to be dumped or stored at any location unless written request is provided AND approval with written permission is obtained from Superintendent of Parks and Forestry. 7. Must be installed into defined garden beds following established curves to a depth of 2". Plants must not to be buried. All hard surfaces including parking lots and streets are to be cleaned upon completion. 8. Trucks and equipment to remain on paved parking and path surfaces. Any proposed use of vehicles or equipment off path must be reviewed and approved by Superintendent of Parks and Forestry or their designee. Any turf damage or ruts created to be repaired by contractor with topsoil and seed. 9. Contractor to observe/take appropriate safety measures with cones and signs as needed. Care should be taken to minimize lane restrictions. 10.Work period: Work installation hours must be between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pool installations to be between April 15th- May 15th. Additional areas if awarded to be installed between April 15h- June 30th. 11.Supervisor's Meeting: Before work begins, a mandatory meeting must be held between the Superintendent of Parks and Forestry, or their designee, and all employees of the Contractor who are expected to serve as field supervisors under this Contract.
