Site work for a water / sewer project in Skokie, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a 2,250-square-foot, one-story above grade water / sewer project.
The work consists of Conversion of Aeration Tank No. 1 to a Fermenter Tank, Construction of a RAS Pump Building, Installation of Fermented Sludge Pumps, Modification of Aeration Tanks No. 2 through 8, Installation of all other infrastructure required. (see attached scope of work). The estimated cost of the work under Contract 21-091-3P is between $16,638,205.00 and $20,140,985.00. Trades included but not limited to: Shoring, Sheeting, & Bracing, Demolition, Site Clearing, Earthwork, Drilled Concrete Piers & Shafts (Caissons), Site Utility Systems, Steam Distribution, Erosion & Sediment Control, Concrete Pavement, Site Concrete, Landscaping, Concrete Formwork, Accessories, & Reinforcement, Cast-In-Place Concrete, Concrete Curing, Grout, Masonry, Structural Steel, Steel Decking, Metal Fabrications, Pipe & Tube Railings, Stainless Steel Handrails, Railings & Guardrails, Rough Carpentry, Insulation, Roofing, Fireproofing, Firestopping, Joint Sealants, FRP Doors & Frames, Overhead Coiling Doors, Glazing, Painting, Signage, Fire Extinguishers, Stainless Steel Sliding Gate, Pumps & Appurtenances, Vertical Wet Pit Solids Handling Pumps & Appurtenances, Submersible Mixers, FRP Plank Baffle Wall System, Control System, Instruments, Hoisting Equipment, Portabel Cranes, HVAC, & Electrical. A. Scope includes work briefly described herein and other work shown or described in the contract documents to complete the project: 1. Conversion of Aeration Tank No. 1 to a Fermenter Tank, including the following: a. Eight (8) submersible propeller mixers equipped with VFDs in the tank. b. Portable davit cranes for removal of mixers. 2. Construction of a RAS Pump Building, including the following: a. 24-in diameter influent line connected to the Return Sludge Conduit. b. Three (3) Vertical Turbine Solids Handling Pumps, equipped with VFDs, each with a capacity of 2,780 gpm. c. 20-in diameter line with discharges to the Fermenter Tank. d. Monorail and trolley/hoist for removing the pumps. e. Pump and Electrical Rooms. 3. Installation of Fermented Sludge Pumps, including the following: a. Three (3) Submersible Solids Handling Pumps, equipped with VFDs, each with a capacity of 2,780 gpm. b. 12-in diameter lines for each pump which discharge to the Mixing Channel. c. Portable davit cranes for removal of pumps. 4. Modification of Aeration Tanks No. 2 through 8, including the following: a. Three (3) constant speed submersible propeller mixers in each tank (total of 21). b. Three (3) baffle walls in each tank (total of 21) to separate the treatment zones. c. Portable davit cranes for removal of mixers. 5. Installation of all other infrastructure required, including the following: a. Yard piping, site pavement, and all other Civil work required for the new facilities. b. Structural, Architectural, HVAC, and Plumbing work required for the new RAS Pump Station Building. c. Electrical and I&C work required to power and control all process and HVAC, including a ductbank carrying wiring and conduit to the new facilities from the existing Process Control Building and integration of the installed systems into the existing plant DCS system.
