Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Dexter, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As of May 2, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. The 2023 Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project is located throughout Washtenaw County, Michigan. The project consists of epoxy deck overlays, concrete patching, expansion gland replacement, and pavement markings. This special provision consists of requirements and restrictions to maintain traffic on the multiple roads in Washtenaw County. Each bridge will be maintained open to traffic at all times. Lane and shoulder closures to be performed in accordance with the MDOT Standard Specifications. For SN 10992 Dexter Main Street over Mill Creek Traffic to be maintained part width allowing a minimum of (1) 10 ft lane with 1 foot of shy distance in each direction. Pedestrian traffic to be maintained during construction on open side of bridge. Traffic to be maintained part width on SN 10985 Huron River Drive over Huron River and SN 10988 North Territorial Rd over Huron River using a portable temporary signal to alternate travel direction on a single lane. Provide (2) portable changeable message signs (PCMS) at each of the following locations: SN 10992 Dexter Main Street over Mill Creek SN 10985 Huron River Drive over Huron River SN 10988 North Territorial Rd over Huron River Contractor to provide MOT plan to Engineer for SN 10992, 10985, 10988 for approval prior to beginning work. WCRC staff to stake temporary sign and PCMS locations for these three locations.
