Cashier s Check of Certified Check will be returned after the award process. All projects estimated to cost over $50,000 will require a 100% Performance and Payment Bond to be attained by the selected contractor prior to commencement of work. County is requesting bids for removal of eight (8) vault toilet buildings and tanks. Three (3) are located at Ledge Park, one (1) at Derge Park and four (4) at Astico Park. See attached location maps. The qualified contractor shall perform the site prep work for the placement of each new ~ 10' x 14' prefab Wood Duck (Huffcutt) vault toilet building with tank. In addition, the concreate aprons and approaches to be completed after the vault toilets are delivered and installed. The vault toilets will be installed, leveled and prepared for use by Huffcutt, Chippewa Falls, WI. The Building specification are attached (Exhibit D). II. Project Description and Design Criteria Scope of Work Site Prep Work: Ledge Park, Derge Park and Astico Park Vault Toilet locations: o Ledge Park One (1) Electric Pre-Fab Concrete Double Vault Toilet Two (2) Non-Electric Pre-Fab Concrete Double Vault Toilet o Derge Park One (1) Electric Pre-Fab Concrete Double Vault Toilet o Astico Park Two (2) Electric Pre-Fab Concrete Double Vault Toilet Two (2) Non-Electric Pre-Fab Concrete Double Vault Toilet o Location maps attached (Exhibit A) Site Prep Work at Ledge, Derge and Astico Parks o Remove and disposal of eight (8) existing block building and tanks. Ledge Park-three (3) existing building approximately 11 x 14 ft. Derge Park-one (1) existing building approximately 11 x 14 ft. Astico Park-four (4) existing building approximately 11 x 14 ft. o Site prep area to receive new prefab Wood Duck (Huffcutt) vault toilet buildings per Huffcutt recommendations, includes excavation and compacted pea gravel bed. Huffcutt Concrete, Chippewa Falls, WI recommendations are attached. (Exhibit B) In preparing the hole for vault toilet, Huffcutt recommends to dig the length and width dimensions of the vault by an excess of 2'. This allows a little room to position the vault in the hole for the setter. For the depth, the vault is 4'6' from the top of the vault to the bottom of the floor. Dig the hole 5' deep and then ad 6" of base fill. The base fill material will be determined by County in which the work is being performed. Example: compacted sand or peal gravel (pea gravel preferred). When the building is set it would be 6" above grade. This prevents any water or rainfall from flowing into the building. o Provide onsite level pad as needed for crane and semi use. (Exhibit D) o Provide backfill and finish grading around new vault toilets per specifications. Backfilling should be completed immediately after building placement. (Exhibit D) o Huffcutt Concrete Inc. will be installing, leveling and preparing for use the prefabricated vault toilet buildings at each location. Contractor must be on-site during placement of the Wood Duck vault toilet buildings to assist in site adjustments as may be needed for final placement and levelling. o Install concrete aprons around the new Vault Toilet Buildings (Exhibit C) Properly prepare site with a minimum of 4" of compacted gravel Aprons will be approximately 150 sq. ft. of 4" depth concrete at the entrance of each building. Approximate measurement of 14' x 8' apron and 6' x 6' foot path. o Wood Duck building specifications attached (Exhibit D) ADA accessible County will provide permitting requirements.
