Site work and paving for a road / highway in Millersburg, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners for Holmes County, Ohio (the "Owner'), as provided in this notice, for the 2023 0.25% Sales Tax County Road Paving Project This project consists of a base bid of paving approximately 9.51 miles, with an alternate 1 of 1.75 miles, an alternate 2 of 1.21 miles, an alternate 3 of 3.15 miles, an alternate 4 of 2.29 miles, an alternate 5 of 5.57 miles, and an alternate 6 of 0.23 miles of county roads with asphalt, as per the detailed plans and specifications, along with all required appurtenances incidental to the construction of the above items. The bid shall be for all necessary insurance, labor, tools and equipment, and material for the complete construction. All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. State Prevailing wage rates apply. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. The Project and Work for the Project consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction of the project identified as 2023 0.25% Sales Tax County Road Paving Project ("the Project"), all in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Design Professional. The Project must be substantially complete by the Date for Substantial Completion discussed in Section Q below and as set forth in Section 3 of the Owner-Contractor Agreement. Only one contract will be issued by the Owner for constructing the Project, the General Contract, which will cover all scopes of work necessary to construct the Project. The Contractor awarded the General Contract (General Contractor) will be responsible for the performance and coordination of any and all subcontractors and suppliers either directly or indirectly contracted with the General Contractor. Owner will provide Bidders access to the Project site to conduct such examinations, investigations, explorations, tests, and studies as Bidder deems necessary for submission of a Bid. Bidder shall fill all holes, clean up, and restore the Site to its former condition upon completion of such explorations, investigations, tests, and studies. Bidder shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations and Owner's policies relative to excavation and utility locates. Visitors are required to follow COVID-19 safety protocols, including HOLMES COUNTY - INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS ITB-3 16869928v1 bringing/wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. No questions will be answered during the site visit. 1. The total estimated construction cost for the Base Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 1,321,000.00. 2. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 1 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 214,500.00. 3. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 2 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 166,000.00. 4. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 3 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 395,000.00. 5. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 4 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 263,000.00. 6. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 5 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 700,500.00. 7. The total estimated construction cost for the Alternate 6 Bid Work for the Project for which bids are being solicited at this time is $ 31,000.00.
