Renovation of a mixed-use development in Presque Isle, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project Summary: The project is an interior renovation of an existing potato storage facility at the Aroostook Farm in Presque Isle, Maine. The project will remove five storage bins and a control room on the south side of the building to create space for the installation of potato grading equipment as well as a small research laboratory. The existing concrete slab on grade will be demolished and replaced in this area. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems will be upgraded or replaced in many areas of the building. New interior finishes will be installed in the laboratory and grading room as well as the corridor, restroom and mechanical room on the north side of the building. Any questions related to the plans and specifications must be submitted prior to 5pm on July 9, 2024, via email to Andrew Buck, Project Manager, University of Maine; cppmquestions@maine.edu Construction Start Date: August 5, 2024 Substantial completion date: February 28, 2025 Final completion date: March 14, 2025 The University reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any or all bids or to accept any bids. Scholarships, donations or gifts to the University will not be considered in the evaluation of responses.
