The Work includes all materials, equipment, labor and apparatus necessary for the replacement of approximately 10,000 LF of 8" sanitary sewer lines, manholes, and associated laterals/building sewers; rehabilitation of approximately 7,500 LF of 8" and 10" sanitary sewers lines via CIPP lining and manhole lining; demolition and filling of the Wedgewood Pool; and other miscellaneous work shown on the Drawings and as specified. Notice is given that the project for which construction bids are being solicited hereby is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L.987, as amended and supplemented. Appropriate prevailing minimum rates, as promulgated under provisions of said act, must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within fifteen (15) days of receiving a Notice of Award letter. Bidders can utilize the Program without any initial or recurring costs. A fee 0.33% of the total work awarded, capped at $5,000, is assessed only to the bidder who is awarded the project. Clarification Deadline 5/12/2023 3:00 Pm Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and posted on PennBid(TM) and emailed to all registered bidders. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect
