Failure to meet the above dates shall initiate liquidated damages as set forth in General Condition GC-33 Liquidated Damages. SC-2 All work, including clean-up work and restoration, shall be completed before moving on to work in another subdivision. SC-3 The Engineer shall mark out all necessary sidewalk repairs throughout the project location. Repairs will be as needed, and the Contractor should anticipate several sidewalk spot repairs throughout the project area. SC-4 Damage to sprinkler heads, lines, and systems shall be repaired before placement of new concrete or within two weeks of being identified, including the two-year maintenance period. Contractor shall be responsible for any sprinkler reimbursement that occurs from construction activity. SC-5 Restoration of parkway/lawn areas (including sprinkler systems) and all other areas abutting the construction shall be subsidiary to other items in the project. Contractor will also be responsible for repair or reconstruction of any utilities cut or damaged during construction. Restored parkway/lawn areas shall be sodded unless shown otherwise on the plans. When sprinkler systems are encountered and conflict with the construction, the Contractor shall remove sections of sprinkler systems as necessary to facilitate the construction of the project. The disturbed portion of the sprinkler system shall be capped so the remainder of the system may be operated during the construction period. The Contractor shall replace the removed sections of sprinkler system to existing or better condition after construction has been completed and prior to the installation of the sod. For any City owned sprinkler systems the Contractor shall contact the City Parks and Recreation Department prior to removing any sprinkler system components. SC-6 Disturbed areas adjacent to sidewalk, trails, and curbs less than 6" in width may be seeded in lieu of sodding. Pulverized topsoil, mixture turf type fine leaf fescue and perennial rye grass seed shall be used and subsidiary to other bid items.
