The Town of Danforth is accepting bids for removing snow and controlling ice on the Greenland Cove Road for a three (3) year contract starting with the 2023/2024 season and ending 2025/2026. The bid will be accepted on snow removal and ice control for 3 miles of road, Town Parking lot, and Life Flight helipad. The Town will provide the salt/sand to be stored in the Town gravel pit to be used by the contractor. The contractor is to furnish all necessary equipment and to provide certificates of liability/property damage insurance coverage in the amount of $500,000.00 and worker's compensation insurance coverage or approved Predetermination of Independent Contractor Status. The successful bidder must provide all certificates of insurance requirements as stated in the Contract specifications, prior to entering in the contract no later than fifteen (15) days of awarding the bid. The Selectmen reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
