The San Jacinto River Authority is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) for the following project in Montgomery County, The Woodlands, Texas Headworks Rehabilitation, Wastewater Treatment Facility No. 2 (Woodlands Division). The location of the proposed project is at San Jacinto River Authority Wastewater Treatment Facility No. 2 at 5402 Research Forest Dr., The Woodlands, Texas 77381. This project includes repair of deteriorated concrete at the headworks structure within all screening and conveyance channels, aerated grit chamber, and exterior walls, and apply a protective coating in areas susceptible to biogenic sulfide corrosion; replacement of all slide gates, pipe supports, anchoring for replaced items, and miscellaneous metals within the headworks structure and underneath the existing cover; installation of a new access walkway spanning the area between the headworks structure and flow split structure; and replacement of the riser piping inside the existing on-site wet well. A temporary bypass piping system will be connected to the lift station discharge piping and discharged directly into the aeration basin flow split structure, bypassing the headworks during the entire duration of the work. A temporary macerator will most likely be installed upstream of the lift station in an existing manhole to aid in temporary screening.
