Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Nobel, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Public Services and Procurement Canada has a requirement for the Structural Rehabilitation at the Wasauksing Swing Bridge. The contractor will be responsible to localized timber repairs to the east timber cribbing foundations, replacement of mud sills on the east trestle, pile repairs on the east trestle, and steel repairs at the pivot pier. The services can only be supplied by WFN and no other alternative or substitute contractor or sub contractors will be allowed on their land/territory. Wsauksing First Nation (WFN) informed PSPC that they will not allow anyone or contractor to access their land/territory to perform any construction and that WFN has the capacity and resources to complete the work. WFN determined that Wasauksing First Nation is the only source to perform the work as they possess the expertise and experience relating to this project. Previously, WFN have successfully completed similar projects on this bridge and demonstrated that they have the capacity and resources to undertake this type of projects. The services can only be supplied by WFN and no other alternative or substitute contractor or sub contractors will be allowed on their land/territory. The estimated value of the initial contract is $700,000.00 CAD HSTI. The estimated contract period will be 2 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2023/05/05.
