The project is located in the RM of Montcalm, approximately 1.5 km east of the town of Sainte Jean Baptiste, Manitoba, running from PR 217 southerly towards Rd 15 North (Goertzen Rd). Granular resurfacing, reconstruction and embankment/road grade adjustments to 6.3km of St. Marys Road between Road 15N and PR 217, in the RM of Montcalm. Major items of work include but are not limited to: Excavation, embankment modifications, placement of granular materials, CSP and Bridge Plate culvert installations, erosion control, ditch grading and landscaping. Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the minimum Bid Price plus a Consent of Surety to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the minimum Bid Price and a Labour and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the minimum Bid price must be submitted with the Bid. General liability insurance shall be in the joint names of the Contractor, the Owner, and the Consultant, with limits of not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and with a property damage deductible not exceeding $2,500. The insurance coverage shall not be less than the insurance required by IBC Form 2100, or its equivalent replacement, provided that IBC Form 2100 shall contain the latest edition of the relevant CCDC endorsement form. To achieve the desired limit, umbrella, or excess liability insurance may be used. All liability coverage shall be maintained for completed operations hazards from the date of Substantial Performance of the Work, as set out in the certificate of Substantial Performance of the Work, on an ongoing basis for a period of 6 years following Substantial Performance of the Work. Where the Contractor maintains a single, blanket policy, the addition of the Owner and the Consultant is limited to liability arising out of the Work and all operations necessary or incidental thereto. The policy shall be endorsed to provide the Owner with not less than 30 days notice in writing in advance of any cancellation, and of change or amendment restricting coverage.
