All questions regarding this contract shall be directed to Greg Peerbolte by email at g.peerbolte@jolietmuseum.org. All questions shall be answered in the form of an addendum and posted to the citys website. Project Area: The exterior lighting will illuminate the exterior facades of the 1858 Administration Building and East Cell House Building, situated at 1125 N. Collins Street, Joliet, IL 60432. Project Scope: The electrical contractor shall be responsible for all materials, components, and services necessary to provide a complete and operational system as described herein and shown on related drawings (Appendix A). The work described in these specifications shall include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Procurement of all necessary permits and inspections as required by the local jurisdictions, and compliance with all applicable code requirements. 2. Verification of all dimensions and conditions at the jobsite. The contractor shall make any necessary adjustments as required to provide proper clearances and masking. Any deviation from the drawings or these specifications shall be made only after approval of the owner has been made in writing. 3. Receive at the jobsite all lighting and control equipment as scheduled in the attached bill of materials, the attached riser diagram, and as provided by the lighting systems integrator. Provide complete installation of the lighting and control system according to the project documents, including all conduit, wiring and other unscheduled equipment and materials as required for complete installation of the lighting and control system. 4. Provide and install new 24 space 120/208 volt - 3 phase or 120/240 volt - 2 phase panel board at the Visitor Center basement and connect to the existing building primary switchgear as directed by the owner. Provide and install 20 - fully rated single pole 20 ampere branch load circuit breakers. 5. Install the large DINrail control enclosure in a dry location at the Visitor Center building as directed by the owner. Connect to the new panelboard using not less than 2 - #12THHN conductors. (DIN-1) 6. Provide and install 37 new concrete foundation exterior fixture mounting pedestals approximately 24" above ground as directed by the owner and the lighting systems integrator. Install 3 type A, 20 type B, and 13 type C fixtures as provided by and as directed by the lighting systems integrator 7. Provide mounting hardware for 3 fixtures to the roof of the admissions building as directed by the owner and the lighting systems integrator. Install 1 type B, and 2 type C fixtures as provided by and as directed by the lighting systems integrator. 8. Extend 17 - 20 ampere two wire load circuits with dedicated neutrals from the new panel board to the new exterior pedestals and connect to the lighting fixtures according to the new circuit schedule. 9. Extend Belden #9829 control cables from the new DINrail control enclosure to the new exterior lighting fixtures in a serial or "daisy chain" configuration according to the attached control riser. 10. Install the new touchscreen control station at the Visitor Center in a dry location as directed by the owner. Extend one Belden #1583A control cable to the new DINrail control enclosure. (TS-1) 11. Provide demonstration of the completed installation, and any necessary adjustments of systems and components required for complete and proper operation. 12. Submit record drawings as required by the owner. This grant has a 28% BEP Goal comprised of 18% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) & 10% Women Business Enterprise (WBE) on the grant total of $250,000
