Site work for a road / highway in Trenton, New Jersey. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
As of October 25, 2024, an architect has been selected for the project. There is currently no timeline for bidding or construction. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Trenton, New Jersey (hereinafter referred to as the "City"), is soliciting proposals through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process from qualified Landscape Architectural/ Engineering firms to provide Professional Design and Permitting Services for an interconnected series of parks along the Assunpink Creek at the properties known as 104 Taylor, Pukala, Fischer, Locust Hill Cemetery, Amtico Square, Linear Trail Connector, and Lincoln Supply ("Project Area".) The Project Area is approximately 19.5 acres and is located in the East Trenton neighborhood between North Olden Avenue and North Clinton Avenue, adjacent to the Assunpink Creek. The Project Area has undergone various environmental studies and clean-ups, and all properties are currently vacant aside from structures that were strategically retained to be incorporated in the overall park design. Significant public outreach has been conducted relating to the reuse of these sites, and schematic designs for the entire project area have been developed. These plans can be downloaded here: https://spaces.hightail.com/receive/v9xVVa3KyW The overall vision for the Project Area will be to provide the neighborhood with a full-sized soccer field with amenities, passive recreation opportunities, a hard court sports complex including a skate board park, and a link to the Capital City Farm property and North Clinton Avenue. Proposals submitted in response to this RFP must address all task items and all requirements set forth in the Consultant Scope of Services and in the order in which they appear. The primary goal of the project described in the RFP is to provide a series of parks along the Assunpink Creek offering residents a variety of recreational opportunities, both passive and active. The parks are intended to be a regional draw to bring economic development opportunities into the East Trenton neighborhood. The Project Area has been subject to extensive planning efforts to determine the best possible uses of these properties for both the residents of Trenton and regional residents. The following has been conducted for the project and will be provided to the successful respondent: o Comprehensive permitting analysis o Topographic Survey o Wetlands Delineation o Initial round of public meetings o Architectural Survey and Architectural Schematic Design of structures at 104 Taylor Street o Park programming o Schematic site plans (including the skateboard site) o Schematic grading o Color rendered site plan o Schematic cost estimate The objective of this solicitation is to build on this work and develop it through full permitting, preparation of construction documents, and through project bidding. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time. Inquiries regarding the project shall be sent by email no later than April 18, 2023 to: Isabel C. Garcia, Purchasing Agent, Division of Purchasing: igarcia@trentonnj.org
