Demo and remove concrete sidewalks with known ACM underneath. The existing HPER plaza sidewalks sit on top of concrete tunnels and classroom ceiling structures underneath the HPER concourse. An ACM tar was originally placed between the sidewalks and tunnel/roof structures and must now be removed. The remaining concrete must be prepped to accept new waterproofing. The scope will also include excavation of vertical expansion joints along the tunnels, along with rough excavation for the placement of geofoam. The project will be broken up into several phases over 2023 and 2024. See attached for reference.
