Scope includes installation of 2-35 foot 6" perforated underdrains, milling and repairs of damaged road surface, leveling course and 1 1/2 " compacted overlay of 1 Township Road with a single pass using PennDOT approved materials. All construction and materials must meet current PA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SPECIFICATIONS. All proposals must be upon forms provided in the PennBid system. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid amount, made payable to West Nantmeal Township. The bid bond or scan of the check shall be uploaded to PennBid. The apparent lower bidder will be required to provide the original copy of the check within three days of bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish the required documents as listed in the specification within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The project must be substantially completed September 28, 2023, and finial completion on or before October 27, 2023. Bids may not be modified, withdrawn or canceled within a period of 60 days following the date for receipt of bids without the prior written consent of West Nantmeal Township. West Nantmeal Township reserves the right to waive any informalities, irregularities, defects, errors or omissions in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Bidding Documents, West Nantmeal will have complete discretion to award a Contract (or not to award a Contract) to any bidder based on any criteria West Nantmeal Township deems relevant. The West Nantmeal Township Board of Supervisors will consider, and may award, bids at it's meeting on May 8, 2023, at 7:00 PM, 455 N. Manor Road, Elverson, Pa 19520. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or a portion of any or all proposals. Final questions shall be accepted electronically via the PennBid program until 1:00 pm April 28th, 2023. T-378 Killian Road - The work area spans from the intersection with Lippitt Road to border with West Brandywine Township. The work area is approximately 18 feet wide and 0.25 miles long. There are four areas that require additional milling to remove existing cold patch. There is one additional area that requires tack and leveling course. Overlay bituminous wearing course on road and feather to match existing. Contractor to verify all dimensions prior to construction. *Incidential to Line item 1 - Mill driveways and cross roads. Furnish and apply emulsified bituminous asphalt tack coat on entire road
