The northwest suburban municipal joint action water agency [NSMJAWA] will receive online electronic bids for the Braintree booster station generator replacement project. The work included in this contract shall consist of furnishing all the materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required to complete removal and replacement of generator including removal of existing diesel UST and connection of a new gas service at the Braintree booster station. And any appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project inclusive of all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to insure a successful project. The contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the public, NSMJAWA staff, engineer, and the contractor's employees is the top priority. The projects will be constructed in a logical process by the contractor with approval from engineer and NSMJAWA . Site Directions: NSMJAWA Braintree Booster Station 880 Pinehurst Ln Schaumburg, IL 60193 The proposed work is officially known as NSMJAWA- BRAINTREE BOOSTER STATION GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT. Work includes the following: The CONTRACTOR is responsible to obtain the required municipal building permit from the Village of Schaumburg. Removal of 480V diesel standby generator, diesel fuel system, underground diesel fuel storage tank, impacted soils, excess materials, and associated mechanical and electrical connections. Installation of new 480V natural gas standby generator, utility supplied natural gas fuel system, and associated mechanical and electrical connections. Installation of new 480V Manual Transfer Switch (MTS), MTS Connection Cabinet, and associated electrical connections Provide temporary diesel standby generator during required construction activities included temporary cabling, cable protection, diesel fuel, and maintenance. Removal of intake louvers, modification to masonry openings, masonry wall repairs, and installation of new intake louvers. Civil site work including new fill materials, regrade of underground work areas, replacement of paving, curb, and sidewalks. Any additional appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project, and all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to insure a successful project. The Contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the Public, and the NSMJAWA Staff and the Contractor's Employees is the TOP PRIORITY. NSMJAWA has determined that the work of this contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Contractor will work in a neat fashion and ensure a clean workenvironment. The Contractor will properly clean and dispose of all work debris and neatly store all tools at the end of each workday.
