The Virginia Department of Transportation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to perform horizontal concrete sawing services to alleviate trip/fall hazards on walkways within Edinburg Residency of the Staunton District per the specifications contained herein. Any questions regarding this Quick Quote shall be addressed to Pam Sprouse, at pam.sprouse@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: This contract shall be for a period of 120 days from date of award. SET-ASIDE: This solicitation is designated as a set-aside in accordance with the Small Business Enhancement Award Priority as a Small Business Set-Aside Award Priority SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, operators, fuel, transportation (mobilization), tools, parts, supplies and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements of the performance specifications stated herein. The Contractor shall perform concrete sidewalk repairs, defined as removing trip and fall hazards on concrete sidewalks and curbs by horizontal cutting of concrete surfaces. VDOT reserves the right to perform any type, or portion, of work within the limits of this operation. The Contractor shall work with VDOT and other Contractors as necessary.
