This contract is for repairs at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and at Jamestown Settlement. At the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown there are four (4) structures needing tarring. These are: the Tobacco Barn, the Work Shed, the Corn Crib and one side of the Office. At Jamestown Settlement the Riverfront Shed needs a new coat of tar. The Work Shed also needs strips of wood placed at the peak of the roof to close the gap at the peak and prevent water intrusion. Then the building may be tarred. The barn needs strips of wood placed at the peak of the roof to close the gap to prevent water intrusion at the peak Then the building may be tarred. Please note the proximity of the Office to the Tobacco Barn. (See picture) 2) Work Shed: The Work Shed also needs strips of wood placed at the peak of the roof to close the gap at the peak and prevent water intrusion. Then the building may be tarred. Please note there is a severe drop off on one side of shed. (See picture) 3) Corn Crib: The Corn Crib needs a new coat of tar. (See picture) 4) Office: One side of Office needs a new coat of tar. Please note the proximity of the Office to the Tobacco Barn. (See picture) 5) Riverfront Boat Shed: The Riverfront Shed is the biggest building outside of James Fort. It needs a new coat of tar. (See picture) B. Requirements 1) The Contractor shall provide all tools, labor, material, equipment and any other incidentals including trunnels (i.e. pegs) necessary to complete the work described herein that is not provided by the Agency. All tools and equipment must be suitable and have the necessary capacities for the work being considered. The Contractor shall have experience with all phases of timber frame construction, including wattle and daub work, as well as modern heavy timber construction. 2) Sketches and photos that are attached may be used as a guide for bid planning but should not be relied on as shop drawings as dimensions may not be precise.
