The Town of Guilford, on behalf of the Engineering Department, is seeking competitive bids for the On-Call construction of concrete sidewalks. New and replacement work to take place between May 1 and October 15, 2023. Any questions regarding the specifications are due by Monday, April 17, 2023 at 12:00 noon and shall be submitted, in writing only, to Janice Plaziak, Town Engineer at plaziakj@guilfordct.gov with copies to the Purchasing Department at fainj@guilfordct.gov and to barrettp@guilfordct.gov . Each bidder will be required to submit to the Office of the First Selectman, their original proposal with one (1) copy, and a bid bond or cashier's check in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). Each bidder shall honor the bid price for ninety (90) business days from the date of the bid opening, without modification. Upon award of the bid, the winning bidder shall be bound by the bid proposal price throughout the contract period. The Town of Guilford reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to waive defects in same, if it deems such to be in the best interest of the Town.
