Microsurfacing Treatments of Hot-Mix Asphalt Roadways Prospective Bidders must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00, "Prequalification of Contractors". Bids received by Contractors not on the official or waiver contractor lists issued by MassDOT Prequalification Office will be considered not qualified and their bid will not be opened. This contract shall be made available for purchases of said materials to other Town of Wellesley Departments and Boards. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Town of Wellesley. Bid deposit shall be $500. This contract, in accordance with the Chapter 303 Acts of 2008, contains a price adjustment for both liquid asphalt emulsions and Diesel Fuel and Gasoline. The base price for asphalt cement, Diesel Fuel and Gasoline on this project will be the MassDOT Period Prices. These shall be specified in the bid package. No such envelope shall contain more than one bid. Prior to the execution of a contract, a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the contract and of a surety company qualified to issue bonds in the Commonwealth will be required by the Contractor to the Town of Wellesley to ensure faithful performance of the Contract. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in bids received. As part of this contract, attached hereto, is a noncollusive Bidding Certificate that must be signed.
