Renovation of a municipal facility in Marshfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Installation of Vulcraft Metal joist in accordance to engineer's plan between existing joists to increase uniform live loads from 50 PSF to 100 PSF. Floor area is approximately 1300 SQ. FT. The Town of Marshfield Facilities Department is requesting proposals to execute a contract for installation of additional metal joists in accordance with engineers drawings and specifications underneath the floor of the new Select Board Hearing Room located at 870 Moraine Street. Contractors must be an active and recognized contractor with the Nucor/Vulcraft metal joist company, and be capable and allowed to field measure and order by piece directly from Vulcraft. This project intent is to increase the floor uniform live load to the Assembly Area requirements of 100 pounds per square foot. Work under this contract is covered by the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage law, MGL Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27G, inclusive, as amended. Bids and supporting documentation must be received no later than 0900 hours on April 20, 2023 at the Town Selectmans Office located on the 2 nd Floor at 870 Moraine St. Marshfield MA. 02050.
