The Kitsap County Facilities Maintenance Department is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified consultants to aid Staff in moving projects forward and to investigate and analyze roof structures of various county buildings, develop plans and drawings, and provide new roofing product recommendations. Responsive bidders on this project will be licensed civil engineering/geotechnical professionals with project design and project management experience. Qualified consultants must be able to demonstrate capacity to aid with these types of projects and needs as they develop and are brought forward. SCOPE OF WORK The consultant will be tasked with providing surveys to document prevailing conditions, core sampling, wind uplift testing and code and ordinance compliance review. The desired product after analysis will be a recommended replacement product, set of plans suitable for bidding, permitting assistance, and management of the construction upon selection of a qualified installation contractor. First structures for assessment are the County Courthouse and the County Jail. The Courthouse, located at 614 Division St, Port Orchard WA, is approximately 99,000 square feet. It was originally constructed in 1935 and has undergone seven additions, the last of which was in 1978. The current roofing consists of various materials and is experiencing rainwater ponding and intrusion. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
