Surety (bid) bonds will be accepted only on the form provided by the Department and only from corporate sureties authorized to do business in Arizona. The proposed project is located in La Paz County, on I-10 from milepost 11.71 to milepost 24.00 passing through the town of Quartzsite. The work consists of milling the existing asphaltic concrete pavement and replacing it with new AC and AR-ACFC. Additional work includes replacing guardrail and guardrail end terminals, replacing barbed wire fence, constructing bridge barrier transitions, installing pipe liners, replacing pavement marking, signing, lighting, and other miscellaneous work. The time allowed for the completion of the work included in this contract will be 235 working days. The minimum contract-specified goal for participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in the work, as a percentage of the total amount bid, shall be 9.97. To submit a valid bid, the bidder must (1) have prequalification from the Department as necessary for the project, and (2) be included on the project Plansholder List as a Prime.
