The project consists of a 2,800 SF one story masonry building with a fitness center and public restrooms. Base Bid: Work covered by contract documents: Construction of the new 2,800 SF Iroquois West High School Additional Learning Space and associated site development items. B. Alternate A-1: Athletic Flooring C. Unit Price #1: Provide all work, including all labor, material, and slab preparation, associated with Slab Vapor Retarder Coating indicated in Section 09 6723 - Resinous Flooring and Section 09 6800 - Carpet The bidding requirements for the project were discussed: A. A single stipulated sum bid will be received for all work. B. Bidders will be required to provide a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. Bidders are required to submit one original and one copy of the Bid Form and Bid Bond. Please do not remove the sections from the Project Manual; use the loose forms provided with the project manual. Contractors shall submit questions at least five days prior to bidding, so the necessary corrections and clarifications can be issued to all planholders by addendum. Requests for product substitutions shall be made no later than ten days before date set for receipt of bids.
