Either an original Certified Check, Official Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the City of Altoona"equal to ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal. Note that the Bid Bond must be in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. Question Deadline 04/20/2023 at 12:00 PM ET Work not covered under the original scope of the project will be paid, if authorized in writing by the City of Altoona, as additional work, extra work or extra work on a cost + markup basis. Compensation will be limited to the work authorized in writing and actually performed. Work performed before written authorization will be at the Contractors risk.
