The Corporation of the Town of Oakville (the town or the Owner) invites tenders for construction services described as: Full depth asphalt removal and grading, asphalt milling and hot mix asphalt paving. Work includes localized repairs to existing concrete curb, sidewalks and line painting. Approximate estimated major quantities: - Full Depth Asphalt Removal - 55,100 m2 - Asphalt Milling 90mm - 70,500 m2 - Base Course Asphalt (various types) - 19,000 tonnes - Surface Course Asphalt (various types) - 14,300 tonnes - Concrete Curb Repairs - 5,600 m - Concrete Sidewalk Repairs - 4,250 m2 Special Note to Bidders: In addition to the Reserved Privileges of the Owner as set out in this Request for Tenders, the following exception will apply: On or about April 13, 2023 the town will be posting RFT-35-2023 Road Resurfacing North (Wards 4-7), which will focus on the resurfacing of residential roads North of the QEW. Scope of work will be similar to RFT-34-2023, with lower estimated quantities as follows: Resurfacing of 15 Roadways: - Full Depth Asphalt Removal - 28,000 m2 - Asphalt Milling 90mm - 29,200 m2 - Base Course Asphalt - 8,500 tonnes - Surface Course Asphalt - 6,500 tonnes - Concrete Curb Repairs - 2,500 m - Concrete Sidewalk Repairs - 1,800 m2 The successful bidder for this tender RFT-34-2023, and any entity that is affiliated as defined by the Securities Act (Ontario) with the successful bidder, will not be permitted to bid on RFT-35-2023.
