Demolition and renovation of a mixed-use development in Hyde Park, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 191,280-square-foot educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
Project - Phase 1 which includes roofing demolition, abatement, and re-roofing; interior demolition; installation of new finishes, plumbing fixtures, and installation of new light fixtures and controls. Each bid shall be on a stipulated lump sum basis for the following Contracts: Contract No. 01 General Construction (GC) Contract No. 02 Electrical Construction (EC) Contract No. 03 Plumbing Construction (PC) Contract No. 04 Roofing Construction. Bids shall not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials and supplies incorporated into the Work, as the Owner being exempt therefrom. Bidders must comply with New York Sate Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment. The School Board of Hyde Park Central School District reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject all Bids without explanation. No interpretation of the meaning of the Bidding Documents, existing conditions, or of the scope of Work will be made verbally. Provide every request for such interpretation in writing, addressed to CSArch, 19 Front Street, Newburgh, New York 12550 Attention: Matthew Zyrkowski or e-mail: mzyrkowski@csarchpc.com with the subject line filled out to read "Hyde Park Central School District Bid Question" and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the date of the Bid Opening. CSARCH PROJECT No. 190-2201 Project Identification: Hyde Park Central School District - Franklin D. Roosevelt High School (FDR) and Hyde Park Elementary School (HPES). 1. Project Location: 156 South Cross Road, Staatsburg, NY 12580. 2. Project Location: 4327 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY 12538. The work will be constructed under multiple prime contracts. One set of contract documents is issued covering multiple Contracts. Each Prime Contract is defined as: 1. CONTRACT 01 GC - GENERAL CONSTRUCTION WORK. 2. CONTRACT 02 EC - ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION WORK. 3. CONTRACT 03 PC - PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION WORK. 4. CONTRACT 04 RC - ROOFING CONSTRUCTION WORK. B. Cooperate fully with separate contractors so work on those contracts may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under other contracts. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts. C. One set of documents is issued covering all multiple prime contracts. Each prime contractor is responsible to review ALL drawings and specifications for complete understanding and knowledge of the work. D. Extent of Contract: Unless the Contract Documents contain a more specific description of the Work of each Contract, requirements indicated on Drawings and in Specification Sections determine which contract includes a specific element of Project. 1. Unless otherwise indicated, the work described in this Section for each contract shall be complete systems and assemblies, including products, components, accessories, and installation required by the Contract Documents. 2. Provide all cutting and patching associated with the Work of its Prime Contract, comply with Section 017310 for further requirements. 3. Each Prime Contractor is responsible for coordination and associated drawings. See specification Section 013100 for additional information. 4. Furnishing of access panels for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. Installation of access panels shall be the work of the General Construction contract. 5. Through-penetration Firestopping for the Work of each contract shall be provided by each contract for its own Work. Firestopping shall comply with Division 07 Section "Through Penetration Firestop Systems". 6. Lead-based paint precautions for the work of each contract shall be provided by each contract for its own work. Each Prime Contractor shall provide procedures for OSHA Lead precautions. 7. Each Prime Contractor shall designate a full-time superintendent to supervise the work of the Prime Contractor, who shall always be present on the job site when work is being performed; this person shall be familiar with the Project and authorized to conclude matters relating to progress. This person shall also represent their company at bi-weekly contractor meetings. 8. Termination and removal of temporary facilities shall be provided by each prime contract for its own Work.
