Sealed Envelope Plainly Marked on the Outside Envelope With the Appropriate Bid Title and Number, Date and Time of the Opening, as Well as the Name and Address of the Bidder. It is understood and agreed upon that any person in the Board of Education will be absolved from responsibility for the premature opening of any bid not properly labeled and sealed. No Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit is scheduled for this project; however, site visits are strongly recommended. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check or bid bond, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid (but in no case in excess of $20,000), naming as payee or oblige, as applicable, Washington Township Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned in case bidder would default in executing the Agreement or furnishing the required bonds and insurance certificates as required. In addition and pursuant to Statute, each bid must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating it will provide said bidder with a bond in such sum as required herein. Bidders are required to comply with all requirements of the Public Schools Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq., as well as the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., P.L. 1975, N.J.A.C. 17:27 and with all other Federal Laws and New Jersey Statutes not specified herein. All Bidders must comply with all requirements of Federal, State and Local current applicable regulations. Bidders are required to comply with "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act." Bidders must apply for registration before bidding on this project. A copy of the Certificate of Registration OR a completed and submitted registration application including a copy of the payment must be returned with the bid. A registration application is included in the bid package. There will be set forth in the bid the names of, and evidence of, contractor registration from all subcontractors to whom the bidder will subcontract work. No Proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of bids. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept any bid in whole, in part or in parts, and to reject any or all bids in accordance with the provisions of statute.
