This project consists of the complete removal of the existing bituminous asphalt over an area totaling approximately 4,950 square yards; excavating and removing existing subgrade in the removal area to an appropriate depth of 8 totaling approximately 1,150 cubic yards; installing 21-AA aggregate base totaling approximately 1,150 cubic yards; replacing the bituminous leveling course and bituminous wearing course totaling approximately 1,175 tons; providing a limited amount of concrete curb and gutter replacement; providing signing, barricading and traffic controlling measures; installing new pavement marking lines; providing complete cleanup and restoration of job site; and, providing all material, labor supervision, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items that are normally associated with the described work items. Ingham County reserves the right to increase or decrease any or all of the proposed quantities. The quantities listed in the RFP may be approximate and are stated solely to provide a uniform base of calculation for comparison of proposals and award of contract. The Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits and for all other permits and governmental fees, licenses and inspections necessary for the proper execution of the contract and which are legally required at the time the proposals are received It is the policy of Ingham County to require the payment of prevailing wages on any construction contract exceeding $10,000 as determined by using the wage guidelines promulgated by the U.S. Secretary of Labor pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Guarantee shall be in the form of a bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to the County of Ingham. Any proposal that is in excess of $50,000.00, if awarded, will be required to provide 100 percent (100%) of the contract amount coverage in Performance Bond and Payment Bond as required by Public Act 1963, No. 213
